Sara Raffo: founder, principal

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sara Raffo received degrees in Graphic Design and Plant Biology from the University of California at Davis. On campus, she worked on research projects, exhibition design, and signage for various departments. This background fostered her belief that the best design comes from in-depth understanding of problems and strong collaborative partnerships between diverse groups of people. Prior to founding Twin Theory Design, Sara also worked at a Sacramento non-profit association and freelanced as a design consultant.
Sara has a love for typography that she brings to every project at Twin Theory Design. She shares this enthusiasm with her students at the University of California at Davis where she teaches in the Department of Environmental Design.
Sara enjoys volunteering at local non-profit events, working in her garden, and listening to good stories.
